Webshop pricing
Webshop development pricing and expected costs
The price of a webshop depends on what products you sell, how you process orders and which systems the store needs to work with. The examples below help you plan your launch.
The essentials at a glance
Indicative net prices
One-off development ranges for clearly defined example projects, excluding VAT.
Itemized quote
We set the final fee after the assessment, together with the features and the handover terms.
Running costs on separate lines
Hosting, subscriptions, licences and maintenance — we show the expected items separately in the quote.
Start with a tighter budget
The first phase focuses on the important tasks; further features can be built later.
The amounts are indicative net, one-off development prices and do not include VAT. We set the final fee in an itemized quote after assessing the task.
Example projects and price ranges
Smaller webshop with standard features
A Hungarian-language WooCommerce or OpenCart store, with an existing theme adapted to your branding. The example project includes the initial upload of up to 20 simple products, provided the images, descriptions and prices are available.
The budget covers setting up the categories and the mobile layout, plus configuring the standard modules for one payment provider, one shipping solution and one invoicing service. It also includes making the key page titles and descriptions editable, a test order and a walkthrough of how to use the store. External modules and providers charge their own fees, payable separately.
This example assumes simple products and prepared content. A complex product configurator, custom graphic design or migration from an old system is a separate task.
Larger catalogue and more complex setup
An example budget for a Hungarian-language webshop built on an existing engine, with a one-off import of up to 1,000 products from a single, prepared file. It can include pre-agreed simple product variants, attribute filtering and a more extensive adaptation of the chosen theme.
Beyond the standard payment, shipping and invoicing setup, we also plan the structure of the product data and check the import. Merging differing files from several suppliers, regular stock synchronization or transferring old customer and order data is work beyond this example.
Custom business features
If you need a custom ordering process, complex permissions, B2B features or a connection to enterprise systems, we first design the first usable version. The starting budget covers a narrow first phase; pricing a complete commerce system built from scratch requires separate planning. Details: custom webshop development.
What drives the cost up the most
Besides the number of products, it matters how well organized the data is. Processing a single, consistent import file is a different task from fixing incomplete descriptions, images and variants one by one.
Custom graphic designs, multiple languages, supplier connections and your own discount rules can mean additional development. For external systems, we also check whether suitable access and documentation are available.
What running costs to expect
On top of the development fee, there may be separate costs for the domain, hosting or a rented platform subscription, licences for paid modules, transaction fees and maintenance. Preparing legal documents, photography, ad management and ongoing content creation are also separate services.
For Shopify, we also factor the platform and app subscriptions into the planning. The expected running items are shown on separate lines in the quote.
How the exact quote is put together
Tell us whether you're launching a new store or developing an existing one, how many kinds of products you work with, and which invoicing, payment, shipping or inventory system you would use.
Based on this, we define the first phase, the necessary connections and the handover terms. Features that can be built later are marked separately, so the starting budget goes to the important tasks.

Frequently asked questions
Is the top of the range always a final maximum?
It applies to the scope of the example project described. If the assessment reveals different tasks, we prepare a separate quote for them. The accepted quote shows exactly what the total includes.
Is product upload included?
The smaller example includes the initial upload of 20 simple products. The larger example includes a one-off import of a single, consistent file. Copywriting, sourcing images and fixing incomplete data are separately agreed work.
Do these prices apply to migration too?
Migration is a task of its own: besides the products, the necessary order and customer data and the old URLs have to be reviewed too. We quote for it based on your existing webshop.
Is building the webshop enough to get orders?
A working store is the foundation of sales. Demand, your offer, content and visitor acquisition influence orders just as much; that's why we don't tie specific traffic or Google rankings to the development price.
