SimplePay payments
SimplePay (OTP) payment integration for webshops
SimplePay is OTP Mobil's payment gateway — the online payment solution Hungarian customers know and use most widely. The OTP background builds trust right at the checkout, which shows directly in completed purchase rates. We integrate it with the official module or API, including the mandatory data-transfer statement and full testing.

Most of your customers have already paid with SimplePay — the familiar interface reduces cart abandonment.
Cards + Apple Pay / Google Pay
Card and mobile wallet payments in a single integration.
Recurring payments
Card registration and recurring charging for subscription models.
Hungarian support
Contracting, settlement, support — everything in Hungarian, with a local background.
When should you choose SimplePay?
If your customers are mostly Hungarian, SimplePay's brand recognition is a conversion boost by itself: the familiar logo at the checkout builds trust, and the OTP background helps hesitant buyers through the payment. For higher-volume shops, custom pricing negotiated with OTP Mobil can be favourable, and the regular, predictable settlement simplifies financial planning. Many merchants offer it alongside Barion as a second method — a combination we often build.
How we integrate SimplePay
We use the official modules for WooCommerce and OpenCart, and the SimplePay API for custom systems. The background notification (IPN) is handled server-side, so order statuses update reliably and failed payments land in a managed, retryable state. We also embed the data-transfer statement SimplePay requires in the checkout — it's a condition of live approval.
Contracting and things to know
Using SimplePay requires a merchant contract with OTP Mobil; the process takes a few working days and we guide you through it — telling you which documents you need and what to watch in the pricing. Settlement goes to your bank account with a detailed transaction report. Before go-live we test the entire purchase flow in the SimplePay sandbox, including refunds and failed payments.
Frequently asked questions
How is SimplePay different from Barion?
Both are reliable local gateways. SimplePay's strength is OTP-backed recognition and trust; Barion's is the no-monthly-fee, flexible pricing. In many shops the two together produce the best conversion — we'll help you decide at the assessment.
How long does the integration take?
After the merchant contract is signed, typically a few working days to live operation, full sandbox testing included.
Can I sell subscriptions with SimplePay?
Yes — with SimplePay's card registration and recurring payment features subscription models can be built; we implement this as a custom integration.
